I want install xp pro(genuine) over my pirated copy but it says" this version can not be upgraded. set up can?

you'll either need to do a complete reformat and a clean install .... or depending on how the "pirate" version was cracked ... you may just be able to change the installation/activation key ... but you're better off doing the whole new install thing ... yes you'll have to re-install all your other programs ... but think of how much better you'll be knowing you're all legal 
... remember to BACK UP all your pics and music and documents and stuff ... don't forget your emails either
